This Pinot Gris is ripe and fresh on the nose with expressive fruit aromatics of candied lemon, yellow apple, melon and pear. These notes carry through to the palate where there is a remarkable roundness and weight, while remaining vibrant, fruit-forward and crisp. This wine is dry, easy-drinking and has a pleasant and clean finish.
This is a very versatile pairing wine that would work well with seafood dishes such as Halibut, Scallops and Salmon. Also pairs nicely with a variety of lighter summery dishes such as grilled vegetables, chicken skewers and salad with a citrus vinaigrette.
Vinified primarily in stainless steel but a small percentage of this wine was aged in neutral oak which contributes to the impressive texture. 100% of the fruit is from our Tufford Road Vineyard falling under the Lincoln Lakeshore Appellation. A portion of the grapes are from our oldest
vines on the property usually reserved for our Rock Pile Pinot Gris—the vines are the oldest Pinot Gris vines in Ontario and are approximately 30 years old.
