2013 White Conception

Notes of fresh fruit – nectarine, red apple and grapefruit are complimented by flavours of fresh cream, brioche and almond. Round and refreshing on the palate with good persistence on the finish.

The 2013 White Conception is a unique blend of several Vinifera varietals, crafted separately in small lots before being assembled. The name was inspired by our Tufford Road Vineyard, once a very popular “parking” spot among locals. As it turns out, more than just great wine was conceived in our vineyards…

Varietal Composition:

Pinot Gris

Winemaking Notes:  Each varietal that comprised the final blend was vinified separately, and then selected in the desired proportion using a series of blind tastings. A portion of the each varietal was barrel-fermented and aged in a combination of older French oak barrels. Each component of the wine was kept on its lees in tank and barrel following the completion of fermentation, and aged individually. The final blend, once selected, was assembled and bottled.

Cellar Potential: Drinking best between 2015 and 2017.
