Food Pairings
This Chardonnay has enough weight and character to stand up to a variety of rich, buttery or creamy dishes. Pair with Lobster, Halibut or Scallops as well as pasta dishes with a white-creamy sauce. It also pairs well with Pork Tenderloin, Grilled Chicken and Turkey.
Winemaking Notes
Sourced entirely from well-established Chardonnay vines growing in the cool Lincoln Lakeshore sub-appellation, the barrels were selected after fermentation and aging in French oak barrels for approximately fourteen months. The final blend is comprised of 5 barrels selected for their expression of the warm yet balanced 2016 growing season – four barrels were from the Watching Tree Vineyard (80%), while one barrel was from our own Tufford Road Vineyard (20%). The Chardonnay from each vineyard and barrel were unique and brought something to the final blend – the first release of this wine.
