Winemaking Notes
Selected as a blend from two distinct barrel lots originating from two different vineyards, the two varietal components in this wine were selected based on their structure and approachability. The wines were aged independently in new and seasoned filled French oak barrels from select coopers for just under one year. The core Merlot in this blend provides a soft midpalate with some dried fruit character, while the Cabernet Franc gives expressive floral/herbal character with structure and a solid backbone of acidity on the finish.
