2018 Lowrey Vineyard Pinot Noir


This Pinot Noir is medium ruby in colour with inviting aromas of ripe cherry, rosemary, black pepper and baked raspberry. The vibrant red fruit notes are abundant on the palate which is medium-bodied and juicy with great structure and lively acidity. This elegant and complex Pinot Noir can be enjoyed in its youth or cellared for years to come.

Food Pairings

Pinot Noir is an incredibly versatile red that pairs well with a variety of different dishes. Pair with roasted chicken, turkey dinner and anything involving pork! It also pairs well with mushroom risotto, cured meats and a variety of different cheese, terrines and pâtés.

Winemaking Notes

Originating from two separate blocks in the Lowrey Vineyard on the St. David’s Bench, the 2018 vintage was a cooler summer and grapes harvest were in terrific shape with delicate nuanced flavours and great balance.

Hand-picked grapes were destemmed and cold soaked for two days prior to being allowed to warm up and begin fermentation. Approximately 15% of the volume was fermented as whole clusters with stems. Following a total maceration time of 17 days, the grapes were gently pressed off and racked into barrel, where malo-lactic fermentation took place. After aging fifteen months in premium French, the wine was racked from barrel and bottled without fining or filtration
