Tasting Notes: Deep ruby in colour with black currant, raspberry, dark chocolate and warm spice notes. Rich and full-bodied on the palate with ample structure and a savoury finish.
Winemaking Notes: Select barrels were chosen for this wine after aging for just under one year in oak. The final blend, a 50/50 split of Merlot and Cabernet Franc was chosen for its approachability while young, but also having enough structure to age well. The fruit originated from three vineyard – our own Tufford Road Vineyard, Hunter Farms, and Fruithaven Farms. Picked, fermented and aged separately in French oak, each of these three vineyard components brought something special to the final blend.
Cellar Potential: Drinking best between 2017 and 2020.
