2015 Chardonnay Unoaked

Gold Medal Winner – 2016 All Canadian Wine Championships
Crisp with green apple goodness and sun-dappled white peach. Lovely. don't overchill. Lively and surprisingly aromatic as often unoaked cool climate chardonnays are fairly subtle. This one is bursting with white peach and green apple. So alive in the glass! Pair with fresh seafood. Natalie MacLean – June 11, 2016

This is a very pale, bright and juicy young unoaked chardonnay with a touch of flint on the nose, grapefruit, green apple, peach and florals. Just a touch perfumed/soapy too. It's squeaky clean, bright and vaguely sweet. The length is very good. Great sipping stock. Chill well. David Lawrason ~ Tasted June 2016

Fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel to help retain the fresh fruit aromatics and flavours that had developed in the vineyards. The individual vineyard components that make up the final blend for this wine were kept on their lees to help build richness on the palate. The wines did not undergo malo-lactic fermentation in order to help preserve their vibrant acidity and freshness. The wines were racked off their lees and combined just prior to bottling.
