This is our second vintage of Chosen FEW, a worthy follow-up to our introductory Chosen FEW made from the ripe and warm 2007 vintage. It is a wine chosen from our best barrels, made in small quantities only from select vintages. The result is a wine which we believe shows the full potential of making elegant, ageworthy wines in Niagara with great complexity and intensity. The 2012 Chosen FEW Red is comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon (38%), Syrah (37%), and Cabernet Sauvignon (25%). The wines were vinified and aged independently for eighteen months in a mixture of new and older oak barriques. After aging in barrel for nearly two years the wines were carefully selected using a series of blind tastings, assembled, and bottled without fining or filtration.Read more »
